On April 11 2003 during a "CENTCOM Operation Iraqi Freedom Briefing" presented by Brigadier General Vincent Brooks, media were advised that casino style playing cards had been issued to US personnel based on 55 "key regime leaders in Iraq who must be pursued and brought to justice". This "identity card" list was provided to coalition forces on the ground to ease identification if contact occurred.
Following the news of Suddam Hussein's historical capture, these cards dubbed "The Deck of Death" are destined to be among the most wanted casino-style playing cards of all time.
