In 1953 photos of the up and coming starlet Marilyn Monroe appeared in the first edition of Playboy. Hugh Hefner didn't put a date on that first magazine as he didn't know whether there would be a second. Luckily for Hugh, his first issue was an immediate sensation and one of the iconic 20th century brands was born...
...and now you can have a daily reminder of Hugh, Marilyn and the 50s with the 'groovy' and totally 'ultra' Playboy Desktop Alarm Clock.
This thing defines retro. Its shape is inspired by hourglass figures of the models from those early years of Playboy such as the famous Norma Jean. It even needs an old fashion windup to start and a separate winder for the alarm too. Cool. Featuring one of the most famous logos of all, the Playboy bunny, this jolly little silhouette is repeated across the pink facia of the clock along with the word Playboy in its original 1953 style.
Analogue clocks have long since been upstaged by their digital descendents, but with that little bit of Marilyn magic in its style, the Playboy Desktop Alarm Clock is a beautiful throwback to when Hugh Hefner was the epitome of the Mack Daddy.
Go on...get your pipe out and your robe on as well!
